Sarah Palin was on America's News Headquarters with Uma Pemmaraju on Fox, this afternoon. She said the Immigration Bill that was passed by the Senate is an absolute betrayal of working class Americans who respect the Rule of Law and legal immigrants who have stood in line and paid their dues. She believes Republicans who caved in to Obama's wishes to legalize illegal aliens, is a matter of a lack of respect for the Rule of Law and principle.
The Amnesty Bill does not solve Immigration problems, and was rushed through like ObamaCare. She cited the hypocrisy of the permanent political class in D.C., their abandonment of what the people expect from their representatives to fulfill - their will, and lawmakers who had complained in the past about passing bills without having had the opportunity to read them. She says the same will happen here which is unfortunate. The end of the interview is what everyone is talking about today. It was Sarah Palin's response to a question tweeted by viewer Josh Painter: "Would you and Mark Levin be willing to build a 'Freedom Party' if the GOP continues to ignore Conservatives?"
Sarah Palin said she loved the name of that party — the "Freedom Party". And that "if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in its platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are going to start saying, 'You know, what’s wrong with being independent, kind of with that libertarian streak that much of us have.' In other words, we want government to back off and not infringe upon our rights. I think there will be a lot of us who start saying
GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in a one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation, either a Democrat or a Republican.’ Remember these are private parties, and you know, no one forces us to be enlisted in either party."http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Zq_OBkpEd74
The last time I recall Sarah Palin mentioning a Third Party, she was all fired up when Sarah Steelman lost to Todd Akin in the primary to win Missouri's Senate seat. I summarized and highlighted parts of the clip personally because it was such a compelling appearance by Sarah, because of her passion when mentioning how personal sacrifice has to be made, including herself in it, and because she mentioned a Third Party, twice during the interview with Greta Van Susteren. She was agitated like I had not seen yet in 2012!
Sarah said she wouldn't gloat about it, but: "I was right, and Sarah Steelman supporters and campaign staff were right in knowing Sarah Steelman was the right person to allow common sense conservatives to take back the Senate to reverse what Barack Obama has done to this country." ...
McCaskell and the Dems thought they were so clever to get Akin on the ballot as the winner in the GOP primary. We're getting used to the games and craftiness of the left and wanted to do something about it."
"Sarah Steelman and her campaign slogan being 'the Status quo has got to go!' was absolutely right on. We need someone who has a strong record of reform, of fighting crony capitalism and the good old boy network, of fighting ignorance in the senate.. And Sarah Steelman was going to be that person."
Sarah said she didn't want to pile on Todd Akin for standing on principle. "But you've got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them." She said she had walked it before, adding, that you know when you have to hand that mantel to someone else, (she did it in Alaska to advance a positive agenda), in order to take back the Senate to promote policies that protect the sanctity of human life and respect the ideas and politics that perpetuate a strong economy based on empowering hard-working individuals.
"That is why Missouri is a must-win state!"
Greta admitted Akin handed his opponent ammunition, which was worse than his weird gaffe. Sarah said "Decisions have to be made.. You have to know when to use discernment. When the stack is decked against you. This is not going in his favor. So you have to step aside from self, from your self-desire to serve for self. You have to step aside and take on for the team!"
Sarah insisted Todd Akin had to step aside to win the Senate, that he had until September 25th to get it done, and that maybe it is a third party run she will get behind if that is what it takes! (6:14 min's)
"We will do whatever we can to put back the country on the side of the people, to reverse the things that Obama and Biden have done to shackle our kids and grandchildren in the debt they have perpetuated. Sarah's says defeating McCaskell, who is highly unpopular, is doable!" She repeats it at the end when she says "the Status Quo has got to go"!

She also went on record with Fox News, following her interview with Greta on August 21st.
On August 26, 2012, Sarah Palin said history could repeat itself and a third party could be created if Republicans don’t adhere to their principles, Fox News reported.
When asked on Fox News if she would consider creating a third party, the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said, "If history is an indication it is a possibility. If the Republicans don't remember what the planks in the platform represent . . . That is opportunity to prosper and thrive in the most exceptional nation in the world.”
She added that “we do that through a free market. If the Republicans become like the liberal left and Democrats, I wouldn't be surprised if history didn't repeat itself."
Palin drew a comparison to the Whig Party, saying, "Look what happened in the mid 1800’s. The Whig party went away and the Republican Party surfaced,” she explained. “Because the electorate got sick and tired of the party fighting for power and not doing the will of the people."
